The group of Pilgrims from the Parish who travelled to Iona recently in the Footsteps of St Colmcille native Son of the Parish. It was a wonderful experience to have been to this Holy Island . Thanks to all pilgrims for making the Pilgraimge so memorable and a special word of thanks to Mangan Travel for their expertise in getting us there and back in safety.

Welcome to the Catholic Parish of Gartan & Termon,

the birthplace of St Colmcille the great Missionary Saint.

The parish includes the areas of Church Hill, Gartan, Glendowan and Termon and is served by two Churches one on either side of the Pairsh. The Parish Priest lives in Termon which can be located on the main Letterkenny to Falcarragh road.

The Parish has a famous Son - St Colmcille who was born in Gartan, there are many historical sites in the area associated with him, including St Colmcille's Bed, The Abbey and St Colmcille's Well all within a few miles of each other.

Our new Church was dedicated by Bishop Philip Boyce on Sunday 27th February 2005. We can be found at the door to Glenveagh National Park. We are about 15 Kilometres from Letterkenny set in beautiful countryside.

You are very welcome to look around our site and please God some day you may be able to visit this beautiful place in reality. If you do visit you are guaranteed a warm visit.

We are one of thirty three parishes in the Diocese of Raphoe.

Our Bishop is Most Rev Philip Boyce, OCD, he was ordained on the 1st October 1995 and lives in Letterkenny.
